Job Description

To provide effective teaching face-to-face and online, module development, delivery of practical training and supervision to students at the University of Namibia across Departments, Schools and Faculties. The applicant must undertake research activities and provide relevant community engagement as required. The engagement in the administrative duties of a developing department is also part of the main duties of this position. The incumbent Lecturer must advance in their own professional/academic career within set timelines.

Requirements

A Master’s degree in Human Movement Sciences or Sport Sciences. Preferably, a qualification related to Sports Sciences and Coaching Sciences will be considered as required for the position. The candidate should have three (3) years of lecturing experience as a Lecturer / Tutor / Staff Development Fellow at an Institution of Higher Learning. Knowledge of high-performance sport, both team and individual sports. A satisfactory record of teaching, research, publication, and service to the academic and wider community, as well as a PhD, will be an added advantage for the applicant.
