Job Description

The candidate will work closely with the Senior Veterinarians in all aspects of theriogenology, including pregnancy diagnoses, fertility testing and relevant laboratory work.

Will assist the Senior Veterinarians with offering practical sessions  and some lectures for veterinary students, and for senior students in clinical rotations. Assist with assessment, feedback to students, offering seminars, cases studies and tutorials when required, and will actively participate in research and community service in the School of Veterinary Medicine. Register for a Masters degree in a relevant field in theriogenology.

Requirements

BVM or equivalent qualification. Unconditional Registration as a Veterinarian in Namibia, with up to 5 years of clinical experience. Experience in the field of Theriogenology will be an advantage. Willingness to work in a farm setting with production animals as well as companion animals (equines and dogs). Interest in an academic career, completion of a master’s degree within five years.
