Job Description
  • Develop teaching material and deliver module content. 
  • Provide creative and innovative teaching, suitable for preparatory and interactive level. 
  • Teach and set assessment tools for the allocated modules. 
  • Conduct formative assessment using various assessments and provide individualized feedback to students. 
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and assessment data.
  • Communicate regularly with programme coordinator regarding student performance.
  • Identify at risk students and provide extra academic support as needed.
  • Be flexible and available to teach during the day and after hours.
  • Set and mark end of the year summative assessment (examination) and release results as per UNAM calendar.
  • Provide consultation hours for students to assist those that are slow learners. 
Requirements
  • A Master’s degree in a relevant academic field/stream as below: (see the fields below).
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience at the secondary or post-secondary level.
  • Expertise in the relevant subjects/stream. 
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
  • Possess basic IT skills to enable the incumbent to use UNAM interactive and e-learning platforms.
  • A qualification in Higher Education Teaching and Learning will be an added advantage.

 Master’s degree in any of the following fields/streams:

Science:                      Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology

Commerce:                 Accounting, Economics, Management Sciences

Social Science:         Theories of Language Teaching (including African Language Teaching),                                            Media, History, Geography
