- Job Description
The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses, supervise student research, and participate in curriculum review and development. The incumbent will be required to secure external research funding, publish in reputable national and international journals, build and strengthen a sustainable research base within the department, and engage in community outreach and stakeholder partnerships as may be required. The candidate will also perform any other duties as may be required.
- Requirements
A Master's degree with a specialization in Oceanography (Physical, Biological or Chemical plus a minimum of three (3) years of service as Lecturer. The candidate should demonstrate expertise in marine and oceanographic process, monitoring and data analysis.
The candidate must have university-level teaching experience and demonstrate an active research profile through postgraduate supervision, and participation in research projects, and publications in peer-reviewed, internationally recognized journals indexed in major databases such as Scopus. A PhD in Oceanography (Physical, Biology or Chemical), will be an added advantage for Senior Lecturer position.
