- Job Description
The successful candidate will: Teach modules in Lifelong Learning, Community Education, and Open and Distance Education programmes, including but not limited to: Open and Distance Education, Workplace Learning, English for Lifelong Learners, Advanced Community Education studies, Policies and Practices, Education for Sustainable Development, and Instructional Design and Material Development. Supervise postgraduate research at Masters and PhD level. Contribute to curriculum development and innovation within the Department. Engage in research and scholarly activities in the field of Lifelong Learning, Adult Education, Open and Distance Education. Participate in departmental, school, and university service activities. Support the Department’s mission to promote Lifelong Learning and Open and Distance Education across all levels of study.
- Requirements
A relevant PhD in Adult Education, Lifelong Learning, Community Education, or a closely related field from a recognised higher education institution. At least three (3) years of relevant lecturing experience at university level. Demonstrable experience in teaching and supervising postgraduate research at Masters and/or PhD level. A satisfactory record of teaching, research, publication, and service to the academic and wider community. Strong academic background in Open and Distance Education, Adult Education, and Lifelong Learning.
