- Job Description
To provide effective teaching face-to-face and online, module development, delivery of practical training, and supervision to students of the University of Namibia across Departments, Schools, and Faculties. The Applicant must undertake research activities and provide relevant community engagement, as required. The engagement in administrative duties of a developing department is also part of the main duties of this position. The incumbent Lecturer must advance in their own professional/academic career within set timelines.
- Requirements
Should have a Master’s degree in Human Movement Sciences or Sport Sciences. A PhD (Doctorate Degree in the required field) would be an added advantage. Preferably a qualification related to Sport Sciences and Coaching Sciences will be considered as required for the position. Normally possess three (3) years of lecturing experience as Lecturer/Tutor/Staff Development Fellow at an Institution of Higher learning in the field of sports sciences. A satisfactory record in teaching, research, publications, and service to the academic and wider community will be an added advantage for the applicant. Knowledge of high-performance sports both team and individual sports. Good communication skills.
