- Job Description
The Risk Management Specialist works with the Institutional Risk Manager to advise Management of any potential risks that may affect the Strategic, Operational, Compliance, Reputation, Financial Performance and Sustainability, Safety, Security, Health, and existence of the University. S/He is expected to assist Institutional Risk Manager in identifying risks, assessing risks, advising management in managing the identified risks, and reporting on the Enterprise Risk Management. He/she is further responsible for reviewing and communicating risk policies and processes for the University.
- Requirements
An Honours degree in Risk Management or Internal Auditing or Finance or Economics Science or Business Management (NQF level 8) with completed articles or CIA is required. At least five (5) years’ experience in risk management of which 3 years should be at the managerial level in risk assessment and control. Good knowledge of risk management activities. Specialised training in risk management such as Professional Risk Manager (PRM) certification will be an added Advantage. In addition, membership with a related professional body will be an advantage (e.g. IRMSA or IIA)
