- Job Description
Prepare and represent the University of Namibia at the Office of the Labour Commissioner and other external forums;
Prepare and assist external legal practitioners when representing the University of Namibia in the High Court, Labour Court and Supreme Court;
Provide legal advice to the University of Namibia community on all policy and legal matters specially matters related to employment law;
Peruse, study and provide legal advice on agreements and legal questions raised;
Provide training to the University of Namibia’s staff and students.
- Requirements
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION: - Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree - Must be admitted as a Legal Practitioner - Added Advantage: Post Graduate Diploma in Labour Dispute Resolution - Added Advantage: LLM specialising in Labour Law
REQUIRED MINIMUM (relevant) WORK EXPERIENCE: - An LLB, admission as a legal practitioner with eight (8) years of relevant experience in initiating, providing advice on labour-related matters, appearing at the Office of the Labour Commissioner, of which three (3) years should be at a high middle management level - Added advantage: Experience in Dispute Resolution
