- Job Description
- To supervise and coordinate daily field operations and staff activities,
- Implement crop production plans and seasonal schedules,
- Monitor crop performance to ensure timely planting, irrigation, and harvesting
- Maintain accurate farm records while preparing operational reports.
- Requirements
Minimum requirements:
- A Diploma in a relevant field, coupled with three (3) years relevant experience in the
field of expertise with good organizational and administrative skills, or - A Grade 12 Certificate with 25 points based on five subjects and a C symbol in
English coupled with at least six (6) years of relevant experience in the field of expertise
with good organizational and administrative skills and any other job specific criteria
as may be required.
Supplementary requirements:
- Preference will be given to candidates with a Diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related field, or a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or Crop Science.
- The candidate should have strong practical experience in horticulture, plant physiology, and soil science applied to crop production, with experience in irrigation systems, mechanised field work, and protected cultivation as an advantage.
- A minimum of four years hands-on experience in horticulture or crop production is required.
