- Job Description
- -To coordinate the development and implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance Management System of the University of Namibia and to ensure that the academic programmes and services that the University provides are “fit for purpose” and provide “value for money” and that they meet both internal quality guidelines and external accreditation and regulatory requirements.
- -To coordinate monitoring and evaluation of the set of activities related to the: Quality Management System; Quality Assurance, Programme Accreditation Reviews and Audits; Quality Improvement Plans, Quality Promotion and Capacity Building of the designated campus and faculty.
- -To coordinate NQF registration and accreditation of the designated campus/ school/ faculty.
- -To coordinate institutional audits at the designated campus/ school/ faculty.
- -To coordinate academic Programme Development, implementation, and monitoring and review process of the designated campus/ school/ faculty.
- -Carrying out other relevant duties as assigned to him/her from time to time by the Director/ supervisor.
- Requirements
-A Master’s Degree in a relevant field.
-Minimum 5 years experience of working in quality assurance in the higher education environment.
-Knowledge of the Namibian higher education system, with special reference to quality assurance, management and accreditation matters.
-Knowledge of and practically engaged in quality assurance policy development, implementation and management of higher education quality systems, both at national and institutional level.
-Engagement with NQF registration of qualifications, NCHE and professional body accreditation, quality audits, reviews and assurance of curriculum and programme design, development, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of quality improvement plans.
-Knowledge of national, regional and international developments related to quality, quality assurance and quality promotion such as EU, UNESCO and SADC guidelines on quality assurance in higher education.
-Knowledge and understanding of the National Qualifications Framework for Namibia and those of SADC.
