Job Description

The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and or graduate courses, supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students, and participate in curriculum review and development. The incumbent will be required to secure external research funding, publish in reputable national and international journals, build and strengthen a sustainable research base within the department, and engage in community outreach and stakeholder partnerships as may required. The candidate will also perform any other duties as may be required.

Requirements

The candidate should possess a PhD in Oceanography/Marine Science/Marine Biogeochemistry/Physical Oceanography/Chemical Oceanography, or a related field plus a minimum of three (3) years of service as a Lecturer. The candidate must demonstrate expertise in marine and oceanographic processes, including physical and chemical oceanography, marine biogeochemistry, and ocean monitoring techniques. Evidence of university-level teaching experience and a strong  research publication record in internationally recognized, peer-reviewed journals indexed  in major international databases such as Scopus is required.
