Job Description
  • Controlling and executing all compliance and governance functions within the Office of the Registrar
  • Researching and advising on new trends and developments pertaining to compliance and governance; 
  • Developing and maintaining the UNAM policy framework
  • Ensuring the development and review of policies and regulations across the university
  • Ensuring the implementation of effective, efficient and cost-sensitive systems to manage statutory meetings
  • Managing the rendering of professional services regarding well-planned and structured meetings of all Statutory Committees of Council and Senate
  • Planning and overseeing the execution of all logistical arrangements regarding Council and Council sub-committee meetings
  • Overseeing the development and maintenance of an effective and efficient resolution register for all statutory committees of the university
  • Overseeing and assisting with the logistical aspects pertaining to the filling of positions of Council appointees and Council election processes
  • Overseeing the archiving and safekeeping of meetings documents and all electronic records
  • Ensuring that the electronic content of the Office of the Registrar on the UNAM website is up to date and contain accurate and adequate information to serve the needs of prospective students, students and staff
Requirements
  • Relevant Master's degree with 5 years' experience in University Administration, at least 3 years of which should be at high middle management level OR- Relevant Bachelor's degree with 8 years' experience in University Administration, at least 3 years of which should be at high middle management level.
  • A Postgraduate qualification or experience in Governance will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
