- Job Description
The Specialist: Business Analysis and MIS Support is responsible for implementing and maintaining the University’s Management Information System (MIS). The role ensures optimal functionality of existing systems while analysing and documenting requirements for new features. By leading change control processes and facilitating user support and training, this role contributes to the seamless operation and continuous improvement of critical institutional systems. This includes managing system integrations, overseeing updates, and ensuring system stability.
The role also supports MIS development by collaborating with unit heads to implement system changes that improve business processes and enhance the quality of the teaching and learning experience for students, aligning IT initiatives with the University's strategic goals. The advertisement reflects the minimum eligibility criteria and the Search Committee may set additional eligibility criteria for shortlisting and selection purposes.
- Requirements
An Honours Degree in Software Engineering, Business Computing, or Computer Science is required, along with a minimum of three (3) years experience or a Diploma in Software Engineering, Business Computing, or Computer Science is required with four (4) year of relevant work experience. This experience must include demonstrated expertise in Software Development and Business Process Re-engineering, with at least three (3) years in implementing and maintaining Management Information Systems (MIS), two (2) years in Project Management, and two (2) years in a senior or supervisory role. The three (3) years of total experience may include overlapping experience across MIS implementation and maintenance, project management, and supervisory responsibilities.
