- Job Description
Attend to medicine cases in the companion animal section of the UNAM Veterinary Academic Hospital (VAH); To supervise the effective clinical skills training of BVM students and junior clinicians / clinicians at the VAH. To provide effective supervision, guidance and seminars to students, junior clinicians and clinicians at the VAH. To assess final year clinical rotation students using accepted methodology as per Miller’s pyramid (EPA, Mini-CEX, DOPS, OSCE). To undertake research activities and provide relevant community service as required.
- Requirements
Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent degree plus a Masters degree or MMedVet in Internal Medicine. Unconditional registration with the Namibian Veterinary Council. Either a Masters or MMedVet degree, or at least 10 (ten) years relevant continuous experience with small animal medicine in a registered veterinary clinic or hospital. Participation in afterhours duties including evenings, weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis. Lecturing to undergraduate students, and clinical supervision of senior students on clinical rotation in the small animal medicine clinic.
