Job Description
  • Develop and teach modules in the area of Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering, Electric Circuit Analysis I and or II, Electrical Machines I and or II, Power Systems I and or II, Control Engineering, Power Systems Protection, Renewable Energy Technologies and or High Voltage Engineering in traditional, hybrid, and online platforms.
  • Establish and/or maintain a quality publication record. 
  • Develop and maintain strong, visible externally funded research programs that will contribute to scholarly publication.
  • Supervise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students (in the case of a PhD holder).
  • Contribute to both institutionally and professionally through active services.
Requirements
  • MEng. /MSc. /MPhil. Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with specialisation in Electrical Machines and Power Systems Engineering or Power Systems Protection.  A PhD, industrial work experience and registration with a professional body would be an added advantage.
  • At least 3 years of university teaching, research and publications, community engagement or relevant industry experience in the field. 
  • Good publication record in high impact journals.
  • Experience in sourcing of research or project funding from third-party sources, successful initiation and management of research projects.
