Job Description
  • Develop and teach laboratories or experiments for modules in the area of Workshop Practice, Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering, Electric Circuit Analysis I and or II, Electrical Machines I and or II, Power Systems I and or II, Control Engineering, Power Systems Protection, Renewable Energy Technologies, Industrial Automation and or High Voltage Engineering.
  • Supervise and conduct industrial visits with students. 
  • Repair and maintain electrical laboratory equipment.
  • Assist in supervision of undergraduate design and research projects.
  • Carrying out a broad band of routine tasks in collaboration with members of staff within the specific discipline and any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements
  • Should be in possession of a relevant Bachelor’s degree with a level of attainment equivalent to an Upper Second (i.e B grade average) or Higher. Industrial work experience and registration with a professional body would be an added advantage.
  • Under exceptional circumstances, Lower Second degree holders (i.e., applicants with a B grade average) may also be appointed, if their scores in the subject of intended specialisation are adequate and meritorious. 
  • Good communication skills.
  • Should be able to conduct laboratory experiments in the field of Electrical Engineering.
  • Assist in Student supervision of design and research projects at both under- and post- graduate levels.
