- Job Description
Foundation Modules: Deliver core lectures in Physical Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Dosage Form Design, Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics, and Pharmaceutical Calculations. Course topics include thermodynamic principles, drug physical properties, acid-base chemistry, solubility, buffers, biopharmaceutics, rheology, solutions, semisolids, transdermal/ocular/otic manufacturing methods, and USP compounding. Any other related duty assigned by the Head of Department. systems, nanoparticles/liposomes.
- Requirements
Associate Professor
- At least a PhD with over ten (10) years of experience in the relevant field.
- Extensive experience in high-quality teaching and leadership in academic curriculum development and program innovation.
Supervision: Proven experience in successfully supervising students at both the master’s and PhD levels, often including the role of principal supervisor or promotor. - A national and/or international research profile with a substantial record of high-quality publications and success in attracting external research funding. The role often involves leadership of a large research team.
- Evidence of successful grant application coupled with PG students in current grant.
Senior Lecturer
- At least a PhD with over six (6) years of experience in the relevant field.
- Demonstrated experience and a record of excellence in teaching, including curriculum development and innovative approaches.
Supervision: Experience successfully supervising postgraduate students (e.g., Honours, Masters, and/or PhD levels). - An established research profile with a record of scholarly publications. There is an expectation of independence and initiative in research.
