- Job Description
To contribute to the establishment and growth of the School of Applied Nuclear Science through programme and curriculum development, resource mobilisation, stakeholder and partnership development, academic planning, research capacity development, and academic mentorship, and thereafter provide teaching and postgraduate supervision, undertake and advance research, facilitate community engagement, and perform academic and administrative duties as required.
- Requirements
Minimum Education
Relevant PhD with research and publications is a relevant field of nuclear science (e.g. Nuclear Physics, Nuclear Health, Nuclear Engineering, Medical Physics, Radiation Protection, Nuclear Chemistry, Nuclear Energy Systems or Nuclear Agriculture). The qualification must meet NQA requirements at NQF Level 10.
Additional experience in project management and establishing Nuclear Education departments or facilities is an added advantage.
Minimum Work Experience
At least 10 years of relevant teaching, research, and academic leadership experience at a recognized institution of higher learning or recognised international organisation.
Satisfactory contribution in teaching, research, publication, and service to the academic and wider community.
Cumulative record of 17 publications in nuclear related disciplines,
Additional experience in working with international organizations affiliated with nuclear applications is an added advantage.
