Job Description

To provide academic and research leadership. Able to teach modules related to ship navigation, warfare, ship plant and machinery. Able to carry out research and publish in the maritime area. Supervise and mentor undergraduate students. Assist with the School's community outreach programs related to the maritime industry.

Requirements

A PhD or Master's degree in Maritime Studies or related fields especially Maritime Navigation or Marine Plant Operation and Maintenance coupled with three (3) years teaching experience.

Candidate in possession of a PhD; at least four (4) publications of which two (2) must be refereed scholarly research outputs and of which two (2) must have been publish since attaining the rank of Lecturer. Candidate in possession of a Master's degree; at least seven (7) publications of which three (3) must be refereed scholarly research outputs and at least four (4) must have been published since attaining the grade of Lecturer.  Military exposure/naval experience at sea will be an added advantage.
