The successful candidate will:  Teach modules in Higher Education studies, including: Quality and Relevance of Education, Research Innovation in Higher Education, Curriculum Development in Higher Education, Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, Research Methodology in Higher Education, Financial Sustainability in Higher Education, Globalisation and Internationalisation. Supervise postgraduate research at Masters and PhD level. Contribute to curriculum development and innovation within the Department. Engage in research and scholarly activities in the fields of lifelong learning, adult education, and open and distance education. Participate in departmental, school, and university service activities. Support the Department’s mission to advance higher education studies and promote quality teaching, learning, and research across all levels of study. Competencies: Knowledge of higher education policy and governance in the African or Southern African context.  Familiarity with quality assurance frameworks.  Experience in programme development and review at institutional level. Understanding of adult learning theory and its application in higher education contexts. Strong research and grant-seeking track record or demonstrated potential.
