- Job Description
Provide skilled routine technical assistance within the Isolation Ward under the supervision of the veterinary clinicians responsible for surgery. Assist in the day-to-day running of the ward, including all canine and feline infectious cases. Supervising students in all aspects patient care in the ward, monitoring fluid therapy and medicine administration. Requisitions and ordering of consumables, veterinary medicines and surgical equipment. Attending and treating companion animal isolation cases. Participate in organization and implementation of BVM sixth year clinical rotation training.
- Requirements
Registration or registrable as a Veterinary Nurse OR a veterinary paraprofessional in Namibia, and at least 2 continuous years of relevant experience in companion animal practice. Qualification: DVN, DAH or Dip. Cur Anim. or equivalent 3-year qualification. Good organizational/leadership skills. Current participation in community service activities and experience in isolation or medical nursing will be an advantage.
