Job Description

The successful candidate will be expected to: 

 

  • assist with and facilitate the development and organisation of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching material for all the degree programmes that are supported by the Department of Human, Biological & Translational Medical Sciences;
  • performance of cadaveric dissection for educational and research purposes;
  • implement novel teaching methodologies including online learning platforms;
  • develop and maintain practical laboratory activities and resources;
  • fulfil administrative duties which will include course coordinator support, and overseeing Departmental administrative staff to ensure that all logistical arrangements for the above responsibilities are in place to teach undergraduate and graduate students; 
  • actively conduct research; 
  • maintain continuous professional development and participate in the Departmental academic programme;
  • any other duties considered by the Head of Department to be commensurate with grade.
Requirements

A Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree in Anatomy with a level of attainment equivalent to an Upper Second or any relevant Bachelor's degree in a discipline such as Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Human Movement Science, or Exercise Science). Under exceptional circumstances, Lower Second-degree holders (i.e., applicants with a B grade average) may also be considered, if their scores in the subject of intended specialization are adequate and meritorious. Applicant should be committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and technical and administrative support; Evidence of Teaching Excellence and Experience in Anatomy; and A proven record of research and/or teaching and/or development/outreach projects will all be an added advantage.
