Develop and conduct practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate Mechanical Engineering modules. Manage, maintain, and ensure the safe operation of departmental laboratories, workshops, machines, and equipment. Provide technical support for teaching, research, consultancy, innovation, and student projects. Develop laboratory manuals, practical assessment materials, and standard operating procedures. Administer practical assessments and maintain laboratory records, inventories, and equipment maintenance schedules. Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and coordinate the servicing of laboratory and workshop equipment. Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, health, and environmental regulations. Train and supervise laboratory users, including students, tutors, technicians, and technologists. Support the design, fabrication, testing, and commissioning of prototypes, experimental setups, and engineering systems. Coordinate field trips, laboratory demonstrations, outreach activities, and industry engagement initiatives. Contribute to the development and upgrading of laboratory facilities and engineering infrastructure.
