- Job Description
Lecture the following courses at both under- and post-graduate levels (Advanced Mathematical Economics, Advanced Applied Econometrics, Advanced Microeconomic Theory, Advanced Macroeconomic Theory) Develop and teach under- and post-graduate economics courses. Establish and/or maintain a quality publication record. Develop and maintain strong, visible externally funded research programs that will contribute to scholarly publication. Supervise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students. Engage in community service. Mentor junior staff in the department; Supervise research projects at both under- and post-graduate levels. Be proficient in at least of the Econometric software packages such as Eviews, STATA or R and perform any other duties as may be required.
- Requirements
Should be in possession of a PhD degree in Economics with an MA, MSc. or MPhil. Degree in Economics. Three (3) years of service as Senior Lecturer and satisfactory record of teaching, research and publications, and service to academic and wider community. Relevant Industry Experience may serve as an added advantage. Experience in sourcing research or project funding from third-party sources, successful initiation and management of research projects.
