Job Description
  • Support business processes in the Office of the Registrar by providing technical ITS support as well as impact and root cause analysis for functional fixes to ensure optimal utilization of the student management system;
  • Generating and interpreting system reports to inform the operations and governance functions of the Office of the Registrar;
  • Managing the use of the ITS student subsystem (SIS);
  • Maintaining application, admission and graduation statistics;
  • Reviewing SIS release noted to assess and advise on the impact of software updates n functions within the Office of the Registrar;
  • Analysing and compiling specifications for desired system upgrades and local software development;
  • Compiling information and providing training to all relevant staff on new applications and software updates;
  • Assisting staff across the institution in reviewing and improving business processes to optimally use the SIS;
  • Ensuring the accurate, timely capturing and confidentially of student data;
  • Ensuring that regular and comprehensive audits are done on student files;
  • Overseeing the verification, accuracy and authenticity of admission documents;
  • Dealing with day to day enquiries from staff with regards to applications, admissions, registration, student records and graduation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field with 3 years of ITS experience as super user / manager OR Diploma in relevant field with 4 years of ITS experience as super user / manager
  • ITS Super User / Manager
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel 
  • Analytical skills
  • Very good written/verbal communication with the ability to work independently on multiple assignments in a deadline driven regulatory environment.
