Job Description

To design and manage Oceanographic research projects, Coordinate and undertake relevant research projects at SANUMARC, Present and disseminate research finding as publications in peer-reviewed journals, Represent SANUMARC/UNAM at various research and development platforms, Partake in teaching ,modules in Oceanography within the Department of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, Teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student's projects, Train junior staff on aspects of research linked to Oceanography, Resource mobilization and stakeholder engagement, Laboratory, samples and data management, Undertake community development projects.

Requirements

A Master's degree in Oceanography (Chemical and Biology) coupled with three (3) years of experience in research, laboratory management and teaching, supervision of students. Good publication record, grant writing and resource mobilization experience. A PhD in Oceanography will be an added advantage. The University reserves the right to set additional requirements for selection purposes.
