Job Description

To contribute to the establishment and growth of the School of Applied Nuclear Science through programme and curriculum development, stakeholder engagement, resource mobilization, partnership development, academic planning, and research capacity development, and thereafter provide teaching and supervision, undertake research, facilitate community engagement, and perform academic and administrative duties as required

Requirements

Senior Lecturer: A relevant PhD (Doctoral Degree) in Nuclear Science or a related discipline from a recognized University, coupled with three (3) years of service as Lecturer and a satisfactory record of teaching, research and publication, and service to the academic and wider community; at least four (4) publications, of which two (2) must be refereed scholarly research outputs and of which two (2) must have been published since attaining the rank of Lecturer.

Lecturer: A relevant MSc degree in Nuclear Science or a related discipline from a recognized University. The candidate should have three (3) years of teaching experience. A postgraduate qualification in Applied Nuclear Science, IAEA-endorsed training, or professional certification in nuclear applications or radiation safety will be an added advantage.

At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience at tertiary level, with a satisfactory record of teaching, research, publications and service to the academic and wider community.
