- Job Description
The Learning and Development Practitioner plays a critical role in enhancing the knowledge, skills, and performance of university employees through coordinating effective training and development programs. The incumbent will work collaboratively across faculties and directorates to assess training needs, design/outsource learning initiatives, and support the delivery of both in-person and online learning opportunities that align with the university's strategic goals. He/she will also ensure that staff development efforts support the university's commitment to fostering a positive and progressive learning environment.
The Key Performance Areas include the following: Coordination and Implementation of the University’s Learning and Development strategy; Supportive role in the university’s Performance Management System including managing and coordinating employee personal development plans (PDP’s); Financial and Project Management administration.
- Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field specializing in Learning and Development / Training.
- At least three (3) years’ relevant training or Human Resources Development experience, ideally in a higher education environment.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering training programmes, workshops, and e-learning content.
- Experience in supporting performance management implementation from a training aspect will be an added advantage.
